Two of my best friends got married and WOW! It’s been a while ride. Ruthie and I were roommates back in college and I remember her coming into my room one day and being like, “Sooo I like this boy…”

My love for Taylor Swift actually connected me to Rachel and Igor! Rachel and I had met about a month earlier at The Heart Workshop in Malibu, and we decided to shoot her engagement session while I was in Seattle to see the Reputation tour. This shoot in the Northern Cascades was by far one of my favorite sessions!! When you combine the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest with pizza, wine, and a fearless couple (T-Swift reference intended!), you just can’t go wrong!

Wil and TaylorAnne have a thirst for adventure, so Rattlesnake Lake in Seattle was the perfect spot for their adventurous couples session! From entertaining other hikers to scaling rocks, every aspect of this session was magical and channeled the breath-taking beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Elena and Aaron trusted their gut and moved 3,000 miles away from home to break away from the corporate world and live their best life on the Big Island of Hawai’i! I got to shoot them for an in-home session, and I was blown away by the raw passion they have for life. We started in their swoon-worthy little cottage, and finished with our toes in the sand on the beach by their house. The whole day was just amazing!

Jeremy and Audrey Roloff invited me to jet over to beautiful Maui, Hawaii for a couples session, and we ended up getting the whole family involved! From exploring the Road to Hana, frolicking along beautiful beaches, and exploring a magical jungle, we crammed a weekend worth of fun in four short hours! I was so smitten with their sweet little baby Ember that I snuck her into a few photos too!

They say that the third time is the charm, and that was absolutely the case with Andrew and Allyson! Having first shot an adventurous couples session, then their breathtaking Arizona desert elopement, I jumped at the chance to photograph them cavorting through sand dunes in West Texas for their first anniversary!! Believe it or not, I started crying even BEFORE the shoot started as we were planning. Read on to see what led to tear-soaked tortilla chips. Not kidding. 😉
