russ + julie | brooklyn bridge and in home couple session | new york destination wedding photographer

I met Russ and Julie this past October when they stepped in to model for one of my mentor sessions in New York City. These cuties were visiting NYC, but reside in Vancouver, Oregon (not to be confused – as I was – with Vancouver, Canada haha).

For this mentor session we really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect couple. Russ and Julie met in English class when they were 16, and now they’re going on 3 years married. These two are adventurers in every sense of the word. The love anything that involves cuddling, traveling, hiking, camping, exploring, and eating. We hit it off immediately, and now I’m trying to figure out ways to convince them to visit (or move..) to Hawaii haha.

The first half of these photos were shot in our AMAZING Airbnb in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We actually didn’t know we had roof access until mere minutes after entering, Russ headed to the window and goes, “Hey, there’s roof access!” So then all my NYC rooftop dreams came true as we shot on the roof while the sun spread across the New York skyline. Lastly, we then adventured over the Brooklyn Bridge and on to DUMBO for some iconic New York City views.
