This wedding is unlike anything I’ve ever done before. And it’s a really special one for me. I met Jordan, the bride, back when we both were roommates together for the Disney College Program back in 2014. We met back before she had met the love of her life, before she knew she was going to marry a man who bore the exact same name as her.
When Jordan first reached out to me to photograph her engagement and wedding, she wasn’t even engaged yet. You have to admire a woman who knows what she wants. 😉 The actual engagement came only a few weeks later (so girlfriend wasn’t too far off), and we immediately set plans to take their engagement photos at Disney World (it only seemed fitting since we were both Disney fans). You can view their two part Disney World engagement session HERE & HERE.
Jordan and Jordan got married on September 1, 2017, and their wedding was definitely an aesthetic favorite for me. Their vibe was half rock and roll, half dark romantic beauty and the beast-esque, complete with jewel tones, flower crowns, and hot pink hair. They even danced their first dance to Robbers by The 1975. Yeah, it was rad.
My favorite part of the day was their vows, hands down. I honestly can’t even believe I got a clear shot, my eyes were so teary behind my lens. My friend had found her forever love, and by the look on their faces you could see how happy they were. These two love each other in a way that’s magnetic to watch.
They ended the night exiting into a sea of bubbles with their Mickey and Minnie ears on their heads. Fitting, seeing how they headed back to the most magical place on earth for their honeymoon: Disney World.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Rocha! I cannot wait to watch your marriage grow and strengthen over time. I love you guys!
