I'm a romantic at heart who loves film, traveling, all things nostalgia, and telling stories. I'm fueled by black coffee, Jesus, and hugs from my 3 little girls (they can cure the WORST mood ever). My goal in life is to inspire others through my art and education and help you know how incredible YOU are. Welcome friend.. I'm so glad you're here.
Grace and Kyle, two cuties who have been married for 2 years, were traveling to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and wanted to capture their fun little getaway in an epic way. Grace, a fellow wedding photographer from Iowa (look her up HERE cause she’s amazing!), and her hubby Kyle, an art director for a marketing agency, found me on Instagram from the hashtag #oahuweddingphotographer. A PRIME example of why you should be using location specific hashtags on Instagram for all the photographers reading this.
Grace met Kyle in college, and while I could tell you a little bit about their story, I figured it would be much cooler for you guys read it straight from Grace herself.
“Kyle was already graduated and ready to pack up and move to California on his own, and I was a sophomore. Both of our best friends were dating each other at the time, and we all started hanging out together. I didn’t think much of him until I heard he thought I was cute. 😉 I finally gave him my number and from there we fell so hard for each other and he decided to stay in Iowa. On the second day we hung out, I told him he was my soulmate and 3 weeks in he told me he loved me. When you know, you know! We’ve fallen in love with adventure and travel, and I am so thankful that my job allows us to go on crazy awesome trips like this one!”
For these two crazy kids in love, the location we chose was Crouching Lion hike on Oahu’s North Shore. It’s always so much fun for me to photograph other photographers, because they know exactly what to expect and what us photographers are wanting. Grace and Kyle LITERALLY slayed this whole thing, and I had such a hard time choosing my favorite shots for this blog post because they were on FIRE. They weren’t afraid to be completely themselves in front of me, and I loved that.
I’ll stop writing now, and let you get to the good stuff. I promise, it’ll make you swwoooooonnn.
P.S. They’re pregnant with their first baby now, and I couldn’t be more happy for these two lovebirds!
