Charlie and Elizabeth got married on September 23, 2017 at Union Station in Kansas City, and to say it was a magical event would be an understatement. Their wedding day felt like a royal ball, Charlie and Elizabeth the ultimate King and Queen. From the finely detailed decor, to the grandness of the venue, to just how in love these two are, it was a day to remember. Their wedding day was the perfect mix of high class glamour with low key fun. I mean guys, they served their guests chips and queso. They clearly know what the people want. 😉
Charlie and I went to high school together, and so their wedding day felt like a mini high school reunion. It was so fun to see old friends coming together to celebrate these two saying yes to each other forever.
My favourite part of their day happened at the very end. Charlie and Elizabeth (as well as a majority of the wedding guests- and me!) are alumni of The University of Kansas. So Charlie’s sister Jeni surprised them both with The KU Bar Band (the band that plays during basketball games – and if you know KU you know how serious they take their basketball). Near the end of the reception they marched in to play a few songs. Charlie and Elizabeth were so surprised, and as the band played the KU alma mater song and Sweet Caroline the entire room was dancing and screaming at the top of their lungs. The energy of that moment is something I’ll never forget. So much love and happiness all around.
Congrats Charlie and Elizabeth! It was an honor to capture your ridiculously stunning wedding day. I’m sending you both so much love and prayers as you start your life as husband and wife!
