“What’s your favorite thing about Molly,” I asked Michael as we were chatting before the ceremony started.
“She makes everything more beautiful. Like… we’re here in Hawaii, and it’s gorgeous, but put her in front of this view and it becomes breathtaking.”
The rest of the day I saw Michael’s words lived out in technicolor. The tears shed during their ceremony, the tender why he held Molly’s hand, and the look in his eye every time he looked at his new bride. Michael and Molly’s love is the real deal, and it was the most incredible honor getting to photograph their intimate elopement in Oahu, Hawaii.
They had an intimate ceremony on the beach at Sherwood Forest surrounded only by their closest family and friends. Afterwards I took the newlyweds to the beautiful area known as Halona Blowhole for their bride and groom portraits. On the drive there they asked me if we could stop at a grocery store to grab some drinks. I said HECK yes. (I always encourage some drinks if my couples do drink because it’s a great way to let loose, relax, and make the photos even more fun!)
