The evening started over margaritas. And it made me realize every engagement session from now on should start over good conversation and margs. Because duh. ;) I met Andrew and Sara for drinks before we headed out to shoot their engagement session, and they told me their beautiful love story - how Andrew proposed to Sara twice... kinda. The first time he proposed they had had 1 (or 2) too many margaritas while vacationing in Mexico. (I'm sensing margaritas are a theme here.) After the first proposal he started planning a second proposal - one that included less margaritas and one ring. ;) He got down on a knee in Colorado a few months later and asked Sara to spend forever with him again. She said yes, again. Yay!
After margaritas I took them to a local dog park at sunset for their session. These two were so fun and playful to shoot, and we played and frolicked in the fields until way after sunset. We got both that golden hour light I love as well as the moody dusk light once the sun went down.
Fun Fact: For their second outfit, the off-white dress Sara is wearing is her mom's old prom dress! I thought it was a beautiful way to add sentiment, and I couldn't believe it was still in style. I would have never known had she not told me!
Enjoy viewing Andrew & Sara's love story!
