Asim and Sadiya are from Laguna Beach, California, and were planning a trip to celebrate their 18-month anniversary when they found out they were pregnant! They were planning to go to Tulum, Mexico, but due to the Zika virus, they changed their plans to come visit the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It was their first time in Hawaii, and these two babes wanted to capture their sweet marriage with an adventurous photoshoot before their baby came. They specifically reached out to me saying they didn’t want the cliché “walking on the sand holding hands pic on the beach” photo they saw in every other photoshoot in Hawaii. I told them they came to the right place! I hate cliché, and strive to get those real, vulnerable, candid photos. Candid and raw over fake and posed any day, am I right?

We started off at sunrise over on the east side of Oahu at Makapu’u Lookout. These cuties were so full of energy and had so many ideas for the look and style of the shoot. It was fun to collaborate to create something they loved. We ended the session at Lanikai Beach playing in the water, getting messy and wild. For those of you wondering, I use SPL Waterhousing for my waterhousing. They make their housings custom, and they are incredible!!!

Asim and Sadiya made my job SO easy, and I can’t wait to see their new lil fam grow!
