Honeymoon sessions are the new engagement session. Okay, so you probably should still do engagement sessions, BUT honeymoon sessions are such an incredible way to document the very beginning of your marriage! All the pressure from the wedding is off, and it’s all about your love and the adventure of a lifetime (literally) you’re about to embark on.

That’s exactly what Faye and Rafael did when they honeymooned on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii this past November. I met these two at a coffeeshop in Haleiwa before we set off on our photo adventure. They told me that they intentionally chose Hawaii as their honeymoon destination because they had been a couple times before with their church and family, but never alone. So they wanted to start their marriage off on the best foot possible, relaxing in the island breezes on the North Shore. I literally can’t think of a better place, but I’m probably biased since I live here. Yeah, definitely biased. HA.

I took them to some of my favorite North Shore photo spots, and these two had an absolute blast. They were one of the most naturally candid couples I’ve ever photographed, and I think that definitely comes across in the images.
