Emily reached out to me before I had even moved to Oahu. We clicked immediately. Maybe it was our mutual love for adventure, both our husband’s being in the military. or even our undying love for margaritas. Yeah. It was definitely all of those things.

Once I actually got to hang out with Emily on the island I knew I’d found a fast friend. The weekend we shot her and Ryan’s engagement photos was her birthday weekend, and she even graciously invited me out with her and her friends the night before the shoot. It was a blast. The day of the shoot we hiked both Lulumahu Falls and Crouching Lion. It was a fun day of waterfall frolicking and chasing the sunset (quite literally) up the mountain to get there before the good light was gone. These two had me laughing the whole day, and they weren’t afraid at all of a little adventure. They happily got into the water making out and playing the whole time. Since we ended the shoot at the top of Crouching Lion until the sun went down, we all three had to hike back down in the dark using our phones as lights. I only fell on my butt about four times…. haha. It was wild and fun, just like Emily and Ryan.
